Words are less to depict who our Guruji is. Guruji is the “Divine Light” that came on earth with the sole purpose of blessing and enlightening humanity. Guruji was born in his mortal avatar as Nirmal Singh Maharaj into a humble family in Punjab, India.

Guruji’s family, through generations, had been blessed by the birth of saints and fakirs; but they had no idea a mahapurush of such a high level would be born to them. According to the midwife who helped in the birthing of Guruji, the day he was born, a snake and bright light filled up the room. When the pandit prepared the birth chart, he clearly told Guruji’s mother that this child was not just hers but belonged to the entire world.
As an infant, a rose fragrance used to come from his body, and his clothes would never get soiled. In his grown-up years, he would often be found sitting in Samadhi (meditation) in the fields. By this time, his parents and family realised that their son was not an ordinary person but an incarnation of God himself. After this, his mother started touching his feet and calling him ‘Guruji’.
At the tender age of eight years, Guruji controlled his desires and devoted time to meditation. As a part of his spiritual journey, he would often stay with his acquaintances for a few days and then move from there.
Guruji is “Supreme Lord” who cannot be defined just by addressing as Guruji. He is the incandescent light that guides its followers through the dense path of life, ups and downs. Even a small glimpse of Guruji mesmerises the devotees and calms their inner souls, making them forget all their hardships.
His followers gain immense joy and bliss in his divine presence. No one could meet him without being invited. When he invites you, he will pull you towards him like a magnet.
“Asi Shiv.” – I am Shiv, was all he said and smiled. Guruji was Lord Shiva on earth to rescue and support the human soul. He divulged his actual form to many of his devotees and used to give out a rose fragrance from his body.
Till today, when Guruji is no longer in his physical form, still his devotees can smell the fragrance whenever Guruji wants them to feel his presence. Guruji blesses millions of people, his sangat and also people who are connected to his sangat, whether they have come to him or not.
It’s said that if someone passes through the premises of the Guruji Temple, they are also blessed. Such is Guruji’s divine Aura. He was omniscient, he would always shower his blessings on devotees whenever they needed it the most.
Guruji attained Mahasamadhi on 31st May 2007. We know him as a body, all that is because of his Maya, which is very powerful to make us believe so. He had come on this earth to play the role of our Guruji. He is our Maha Shiv, who drinks poison to protect his devotees. He is Omnipotent, Omniscient, and Omnipresent. He has gifted us his nectar in the form of Shabads and Satsangs.
Guruji will never leave us, he is always there welcoming us every day with faith and trust.
